MEET LORENA
Originally from Harlem, New York, Lorena Rodriguez is an Associate in the Litigation Department of a New York law firm. Lorena received her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology with honors from Amherst College and her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Senior Editor for the Columbia Law Review.
Prior to law school, Lorena worked in the fields of education and criminal justice for five years and participated in the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) Law Fellowship program. While in law school, she interned at the Civil Rights Bureau of the Office of the New York State Attorney General, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In addition to practicing law, Lorena currently serves on the Women in the Legal Profession Committee of the New York City Bar Association. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and mentoring, particularly those aspiring to enter the legal profession.
